Daniel LAUNE has more than 20 years of experience in biomarker discovery and validation for diagnostic or theranostic applications. He obtained his Ph.D. in biochemistry and immunology from the University of Montpellier. After several years at Biomérieux, Daniel joined Sanofi Diagnostics Pasteur as team leader in diabetes. He continued his career at Bio-Rad and held different positions, the last one as plant manager and Director of a mix public/private Research Center for 8 years.
He managed different multi-partner projects in the field of biomarkers for the prediction and follow-up of chronic and infectious diseases. He is member of the scientific committee of the health competitiveness cluster EUROBIOMED. Daniel is now the President and Scientific Director of Kyomed. His work led him to interact with companies and scientists from Europe, USA and Asia. Daniel is passionate about innovation. He is a fervent supporter of bringing new products on the market for the benefit of patients and health professionals.
Sabrina is passionate about technology’s role in driving better health care and well-being. She obtained her Ph.D. in pharmacology and cardiovascular physiology from the University of Nantes, France, and then completed a three-year postdoc in New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY, USA. After her postdoc from 2007 to 2014, she worked in preclinical Contract Research Organizations as Project Manager and then as Head of Business Development.
In November 2014, Sabrina joined Kyomed as Business Development Manager. She oversees sales, strategy, and communication. In addition to her transverse and international knowledge of the health industry, she brings with her extensive experience in R&D contract research activity.
Hing Kin Chan has more than 25 years’ experience in business development, licensing and commercial management in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He has successfully commercialized different platform technologies and closed numerous deals with both large and small companies, as well as academic institutions.
In addition, Hing Kin Chan has significant strategic management responsibilities as part of his senior role at different companies. Qualified as a pharmacist from University of London, UK with a PhD from University of Geneva, Switzerland and Diploma in Business Administration from Henley Management College, UK, Hing Kin Chan has worked in more than 6 European countries and speaks four languages, he also brings a wealth of international experience and network to Kyomed.
Marine obtained her Master of Design and Innovation in 2009 from the University of Compiègne (France). After her graduation, she worked in different places in Paris and conducted a variety of projects, all focused on user experience (UX) design, and developed a strong expertise in usage and behavior analysis. In 2013, Marine integrated a Living Lab specialized in silver economy and autonomy. Her job was to analyse and capture the needs of elderly people. At the same time, Marine also started to teach methods of user-centered design at the University of Nîmes (where she is still teaching).
In 2016, her passion for multidisciplinary projects led her to join Kyomed’s team as Project Manager in charge of Living Lab projects. The role of Marine is to collect data and provide qualitative analysis and insights on the way people, patients and healthcare professionnals will use new technologies. Her work aims at identifying leveraging actions that will make healthcare innovation respond to a real need and make it used in the daily practice of their end users. To do so, Marine uses a variety of tools: focus groups, individual interviews, self-administered questionnaires. Her leitmotif is to « instil the systematic use of design thinking in the conception of tomorrow’s health devices ».
Initially trained as a bacteriologist/parasitologist, Sylvie quickly moved after her Ph.D. to data management working on bacterial genomic data. After a postdoc in the USA, she worked for 12 years at Sanofi as data manager. In 2012, she was personally involved in the creation of a medical school degree dedicated to e-health. In the meantime, she was able to closely observe the development of connected medical devices in pharmaceutical industry. So it was natural for her to join Kyomed’s team in 2014 at the very beginning of the company.
She is in charge of the living lab from usage evaluation, co-conception with end users, to global management of e-health projects. At Kyomed, she also takes on the role of data protection correspondent for CNIL (French administrative authority responsible for ensuring that information technology remains at the service of citizens).
Thanks to university studies that relate human biology to the management of innovative projects (Masters in Innovative Project Management), Narjis Bototo possesses a transversal vision of the innovation process in the sector of health and the dynamics of project management. Narjis has been part of Kyomed since its inception in 2014.
She has notably participated in the development of the E-health platform, an emergent and transdisciplinary sector, with a particular focus on the evaluation and usage by a living lab approach. Narjis also wishes to participate in the co-conception of health solutions that satisfy the needs of the patients and those of healthcare professionals.
Aurelie is passionate about technology, human behavior and health. She places people at the center of her work.
In 2016, she received the « Jury’s favorite » and the « Best connected object 2015 » awards at the CITC-EuraRFID competition. In 2017, she obtained her Master of “Innovation and Complexity” from UTC (University of Technology of Compiègne), with a specialization in « User eXperience Design ».
She completed her master with an internship at Inria, a public research institute dedicated to digital science and technology, within the project-team “Flowers”, where she worked on the open-source project “Poppy Education”.
After her graduation, Aurelie joined Kyomed’s Living Lab “Health and Autonomy” as Junior Project Manager.
Aurelie incessantly learn and improve her research methods to analyze all aspects of user’s interaction with a service or product. Her ambition is to create positive impact by focusing on usability, accessibility and pleasure. She believes that a product or a service must be intuitive, accessible and useful.
Frederique has almost 20 years of experience in Clinical Research and Development. She obtained her « Engineer-Master diploma » in Health engineering focused on the clinical development of Drugs, at Montpellier Pharmacy Faculty, and then started to work for several big pharma companies for 10 years, including Pfizer and Organon (SheringPlough/MSD), to run and manage clinical trials in various therapeutic areas such as neurology, psychiatry, oncology. In 2008, she joined the CRO Quintiles as International Project Manager in Oncology.
She supervised industrial clinical trials in several countries worldwide (e.g. USA, Australia, Asia, Europe). She also experienced the position of Strategic Site Relationship Manager, focusing on developing partnerships with clinical investigational sites and strengthening her knowledge of the clinical field and health industry. She started at Kyomed in September 2016 as Clinical Research Project Manager. She brings her extensive expertise in clinical trials and manages all aspects of clinical validation of biomarkers and medical devices.
Eve is passionate about discovery and innovation in human health. She has more than 10 years of experience in biostatistics and biomathematics applied to human health. She obtained her Ph.D. in biostastistics and applied mathematics from the University of Montpellier (France) and gained experience in several areas of the pharmaceutical industry and clinical research. From 2006 to 2015, she worked at Bio-Rad first as Research & Development project leader and then as team leader.
She was in charge of structuring, developing and promoting a biostatistics service platform dedicated to the support of research activities in the field of diagnostics. In January 2016, Eve joined Kyomed as Data-Mining Project Manager. She brings expertise and methodology to analyze health data and answer clinical questions. She also applies her experience with the coordination of multipartners projects to best serve our clients’ projects.
Alexis has a master’s degree in web project management from the Montpellier School Management (IAE) and brings with him expertise in the field of information and communication technologies.
